Familiar Vehicle Comfort
Your Driving Test Day Car Hire will be the same dual-controlled instructor car you have been using for your lessons, in your own testing, right down to monitoring the on-road driving experience.
Pre-Test Warm-Up Drive
You will have time before the official test to practice the key driving manoeuvres, recap your knowledge of the road, and calm any nerves you have before your official test.
Professional Support
Your DVSA-approved instructor will guide you through what happens on the day of your test, from the moment you arrive and wait at the centre to the time you meet the examiner.
Understanding the expectations of your examiner
You will gain a greater insight into what the examiner will be looking for, how decisions are made, the examiner’s assessment, and how to stay focused during the test.
Safe, Clean and Well-Maintained Car
You will be using a clean, regularly serviced, and fully-operational dual-controlled car that was developed to be reliable, whether during the warm-up or during the test.
Familiarisation with the route (where applicable)
It may be possible to use the warm-up driving session to be on the roads nearby that are regularly used by the local testing centre to enhance your comfort with the testing routes of areas regularly used for testing.
Our overall objective is to create a seamless, relaxed, and confidence-oriented experience from the time you start your warm-up until the time you return safely from the formal test.

Your instructor takes you through a short and effective pre-test warm-up session so you can work on staying calm and focus on driving with confidence. This allows you an opportunity to sharpen up your reactions, strengthen the good habits you have formed, and settle into a good pre-test mindset ahead of meeting the examiner.
The reassurance of driving a familiar car also helps with nerves, giving you consistency and stability when taking your test, where you’re going to give it your best performance.
After your warm-up, your instructor will accompany you to the test centre, provide last-minute guidance, and ensure you feel fully prepared before your assessment test and before your test is time to takes place.
